Township Of Hamilton Zoning Officer

 

The Twp. of Hamilton is seeking a FT Zoning Officer.  Responsibilities include oversight of the zoning application process, compliance of MLUL and zoning ordinances, and the initiation of enforcement proceedings. A thorough knowledge of zoning laws and the ability to analyze/interpret municipal ordinances, calculate/compute complex mathematical formulas and effectively communicate with the public are required. Must possess a Bachelor’s degree in land use planning, engineering, landscape architecture or a closely related field.  Four (4) years experience in municipal zoning, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. BUILDING MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

 

The Twp. of Hamilton is seeking a skilled, detail-oriented F/T Building Maintenance Technician. Applicants must be well rounded in all aspects of general facility maintenance.  This position performs a variety of tasks in the maintenance and repair of municipal buildings and grounds.  The successful candidate will have a general working knowledge of the principals practiced in the carpentry, plumbing, electrical and HVAC trades and should possess the ability to use most applicable tools.  Knowledge of building codes and the ability to read blueprints is a plus. A CDL is preferred but valid NJ driver’s license is required. TOWNSHIP FIRE ADMINISTRATOR - -

The Twp. of Hamilton in Atlantic County is seeking a Part-Time Township Fire Administrator. This position is responsible for the organization and direction of the volunteer fire departments in order to promote continuity of service, create fiscal efficiencies, and foster effective operational relationships. The individual hired for the position will be responsible for developing and implementing firefighting policies and procedures, recruiting, training, and orienting new volunteer firefighters, overseeing yearly inspections and maintenances, completing administrative tasks, and performing other related duties as required.

 

Five plus years of progressively responsible administrative and supervisory experience in fire and life safety education, prevention, and emergency response work.  Must have held the position of Chief Fire officer (i.e. Assistant, Battalion or Deputy) in the State of New Jersey for a minimum of five years.  Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s Degree with a major in Fire Science preferred.
